Train1000 at Festival 26
Train1000 is an initiative taking place across the global family of Catalyst, aiming to train a thousand church planters by the year 2030.
This initiative began with Simon Holley sensing God drop into his spirit a challenge. This is how Simon recalls that moment:
“I’d been thinking a lot about what’s next for us. In a quiet moment of prayer, I felt a nudge, a whisper in my spirit, saying ‘Train 1000 church planters’. At first, this idea seemed overwhelming - even impossible. But then I remembered that God had spoken to us like this before and we raised far more than the £100,000 he asked us to raise for the Covid fund. If it’s from Him then he will enable us to not only achieve it, but maybe even to exceed it!”
As Simon shared this with other leaders across our family of churches, quickly there was a rise of faith. There is now a genuine sense that God is speaking to us and challenging us to believe Him for a wonderful church planting advance over the coming years.
We feel we have weighed this word and are therefore seeking to train 1000 church planters by the year 2030.
Over the past 10 years Catalyst have planted more than 300 new churches in different parts of the world. We have some remarkable brothers and sisters pioneering into new cities and new nations, establishing new church communities bringing glory to Jesus!
TRAINING
We are looking to train 1000 church planters in the coming years. If you are passionate about Jesus, why not think about joining our church planting training to explore the call to lead or to be a part of a team of church planting team, either now or in the future?
COACHING
To reach the goal we believe God has set us, we will need an army of volunteer coaches who would be happy to care for and support budding new church planters as they train and as they are sent. When you sign up, you'll have opportunity to tell us if you'd be interested in becoming a coach.
PRAYER - #pray1000
This is a big God-sized goal that we will only reach with Gods help and by beginning to pray for His Spirit to inspire a new generation of church planters to hear the call, get trained and go! We want to enlist the help of faithful pray-ers that will commit to praying for a move of the spirit over Catalyst that will result in a flood of new radical missionaries for Jesus being birthed.
