  • We want to make the Catalyst Festival as accessible as possible for everyone. Here are a few ways we can help.

    Amenities - Accessible toilets are located in the amenity blocks. Some accessible shower units are also available, marked Accessible Toilet & Shower (ATS) on the site map.

    Large print materials - Large print copies of this guide and other materials are available on request from the Information Point.

    Signing - BSL interpretation is available in the main meetings, and other meetings by request. A designated signing area can be found at the front of the main venue, and induction loops are installed there as well.

    Wheelchairs - Wheelchair users are welcome to sit anywhere within venues, as long as one side of the wheelchair is next to an aisle.

    Breakout Space- For anyone that may find the main meetings a bit overwhelming but would still like to listen to the content, we will be live streaming in HUB 1

  • Alcohol is permitted in camping areas, but not any of the indoor venues.

  • There are no cash machines on site.

  • All festival goers need to leave Norfolk Showground by 3pm on Tuesday 26th May.

  • Your quickest response will be to phone 0300 02 01 999 (rather than dialling 999) and wait for instructions about what to do next.

  • Fire points are located around the site – your Church Coordinator will tell you where the nearest one to your church site is. Please cook safely and ensure any gas cooking equipment is checked and safe to use. No open fires, bonfires or charcoal barbeques are permitted anywhere on site.

  • There is a First Aid point in the XXX staffed by a contracted medical company 24 hours a day. You can contact the First Aid team by calling the emergency number above, or asking anyone with a radio.

  • There is a Cafe on site serving barista made coffee throughout the day, plus hot and cold breakfasts and lunches. There are also a range of food vendors including burger van, crepes and ice cream during the afternoons and evenings.

  • No gas bottles are available for purchase on site.

  • Please be considerate when walking around the site – keep noise to a minimum at night, try not to walk through other sites, and mind out for guy ropes.

  • There are no facilities to freeze ice packs available on site, although your church may have provided its own refrigeration facilities.

  • The Information Point is open from 8.30am-8pm every day (8.30am-10am on Monday) in the foyer of HUB 1, where our friendly team will be happy to help you with any problems or queries you might have.

  • We will leave items left behind at the back of the meeting venues, where they can be retrieved. Valuable items will be kept safely at the Information Point.

  • Your church group is looked after by a Neighbourhood Host and team. They are your point of contact for any issues that arise on your site, and they liaise closely with all the other teams at the Festival to make sure you stay safe.

  • All activities are finished by 11pm - please head straight back to your church site afterwards. Please stay on your church site from 11.30pm, and silent from midnight.

  • You may be photographed or filmed for use in promoting Catalyst or the Catalyst Festival - on our websites, social media accounts, on video or in printed materials. If you don’t wish to take part, please let the photographer know.

  • We have a Safeguarding Coordinator on site, whose role is to be available for advice for all young people, and to supervise adults and event servers. All servers are asked to adhere to our Safeguarding Policy, and any server in direct contact with children and young people must have undergone a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Check.

  • Your own security and that of your belongings is your responsibility. Wristbands will be checked on entrance to Festival venues. There is a security team on site 24 hours a day.

  • Our servers are the people who make this whole event possible - thank you for all of your hard work! Our Servers’ Lounge in the Ingestre Suite. is the place for you to hang out with your teams and grab a tea or coffee throughout the day.

  • There are supermarkets in Norwich– details are available from the Information Point.

  • Your nearest amenity blocks can be found on the site map. If there are any problems with the amenity block in your Neighbourhood, please let your Neighbourhood Host know.

    Please try to take short showers
    – those behind you in the queue will appreciate it!

  • Please bag your rubbish and use the dedicated skips around the site. Please also make sure your church site remains free of litter.

    You won’t find dedicated recycling bins onsite, as recyclable materials are sorted and removed from the general waste skips

  • You should have received a wristband when you arrived on site - it’s essential that your wear it at all times so we know who’s part of the Festival and who’s not. In addition, all Catalyst Festival servers and contractors wear identity badges.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! You can book tickets anytime before the event and even turn up on the day and day-tickets will be available. Come and join us!

  • This year we have a new venue! Stafford Showground.

    Find it on google maps

    • If you’re driving the showground is on the A518 Stafford to Uttoxeter road about 4 miles just outside Stafford. Drivers from either the North or South using the M6 motorway should exit at junction 14 and follow the signs for the County Showground.

    • If you’re not driving to the festival the nearest transport link would be to Stafford Train station. Unfortunately we are unable to assist in getting to the showground from the station.

    • Cars will be allowed on site for arrival from 1pm on Friday 23rd August.

    • The programme will finish during the morning of Monday 26 August. There will still be time to pack up your tent, and you’ll need to be off site by 3pm. 

    • All cars must be off site and in the car park by 7pm on Friday. 

    • Cars will be allowed back on site on the Monday to allow you pack your things, you will need to be off site again by 3pm.

    • Outside of arrival and departure no cars will be allowed on site or the duration of the festival

    • You can stay off site, when filling in your ticket details just select ‘not camping’.

    • If you’ll be staying off site but wish to have a tent on site to keep your things that’s perfectly fine, just make sure you add a tent to your ticket order!

    • Unfortunately we are unable to offer reduced ticket prices for those staying off site

  • Of course! We really need more servers. It’s servant hearted people like you that make the Festival possible! There’s a wide selection of ways you can serve; from helping in the Youth/Kids rooms to being on the site maintenance teams, from stewarding to helping set up or take down the site, We’d love to have you involved.

    • As a thank you for giving up your time to help make the festival happen Part-Time Servers get 50% off, Full-Time Servers come for FREE!

    • When making your booking choose either a Full-Time or a Part-Time server ticket, then when adding ticket details choose which team you’d like to be a part off. If you’d like to serve in a way that isn’t listed please emails bookings@catalystnetwork.org and we’ll see what we can do.

    • Some serving teams require a DBS check.
